Privacy notice

1. Who we are

Airut Technologies Oy (details above) is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we process and why

We collect very little:

Demo chat messages — what you type to AIRUT, so the demo you chose to use can work. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and demonstrating our service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Technical server logs — security and operations. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Cookieless analytics — aggregate understanding of how the site is used. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Email you choose to send us — handling your inquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest and steps taken prior to a possible contract.
Signups you choose to send us — your email address, and if you add them, your company and a note, so we can contact you about Airut. To prevent abuse we also keep a salted hash of your IP address (never the address itself) and your browser's user agent. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a possible contract, and legitimate interest.

Nothing else. No accounts, no payments, no marketing lists.

3. AI processing and recipients

Your demo chat messages travel through Cloudflare (our network and security provider) to our servers in Finland (Hetzner, EU) and are processed by Anthropic (US) solely to generate the assistant's replies. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models and retains it only for a limited period under its commercial terms. MDIL's reasoning layer and all conversation storage remain on EU infrastructure.

Analytics is self-hosted on our own server in Finland (UpCloud, EU), so no third party receives it. Signup notifications are sent through our email provider, our own mail server in Finland (UpCloud, EU). We do not sell personal data.

4. International transfers

Transfers outside the EU/EEA: to Anthropic (US) for reply generation, and to Cloudflare (US) as our network provider. Each is safeguarded by that provider's data processing agreement incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. Analytics runs on our own first-party, cookieless Matomo with IP anonymization and no cross-site tracking. The chat widget uses sessionStorage only to restore your conversation in the current tab. Nothing here requires consent, which is why you see no cookie banner.

6. Retention

Demo chat sessions, the questions logged from them, and the assistant's memory of them are kept on our servers in Finland (Hetzner, EU); write to [email protected] if you want yours deleted. Technical logs are kept for security and operations. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Signups are kept until we have contacted you about Airut or you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. A copy of earlier demo data also remains on our previous servers in Finland (UpCloud, EU) until we remove it after the move.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability where applicable, and to object (GDPR Art. 21) to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi).

8. The AI demo

AIRUT is an AI concierge, not a human. Its replies are AI-generated and may be inaccurate. Please don't share personal or confidential information in the demo.

Demo terms

1. Scope. These terms apply to the airut.ai website and the AIRUT demo chat, provided by Airut Technologies Oy.

2. As-is. The site and demos are provided as-is, for demonstration purposes, without warranty of any kind.

3. No advice. Demo outputs are AI-generated, may be inaccurate, and are not professional advice. Do not rely on them for decisions.

4. Acceptable use. Do not use the demo for unlawful content, or to disrupt, overload, or attempt to extract the underlying systems. We may suspend demo access in case of misuse.

5. Intellectual property. The AIRUT brand and concept are licensed to Airut Technologies Oy by its founders; the MDIL technology belongs to MDIL Labs Oy and its licensors.

6. Pilots. Pilot and customer engagements are governed exclusively by separate written agreements.

7. Liability. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law.

8. Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of Finland.
