Privacy notice

1. Who we are

MDIL Labs Oy (details above) is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: [email protected]. If AIRUT becomes its own company, we will update this section.

2. What we process and why

We collect very little:

Demo chat messages — what you type to AIRUT, so the demo you chose to use can work. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and demonstrating our service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Technical server logs — security and operations. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Cookieless analytics — aggregate understanding of how the site is used. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Email you choose to send us — handling your inquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest and steps taken prior to a possible contract.

Nothing else. No accounts, no forms, no payments, no marketing lists.

3. AI processing and recipients

Your demo chat messages are sent to our servers in Finland (UpCloud, EU) and are processed by Anthropic (US) solely to generate the assistant's replies. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models and retains it only for a limited period under its commercial terms. MDIL's reasoning layer and all conversation storage remain on EU infrastructure.

Analytics is self-hosted, so no third party receives it. We do not sell personal data.

4. International transfers

The only transfer outside the EU/EEA is to Anthropic (US) for reply generation. This transfer is safeguarded by Anthropic's data processing agreement incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. Analytics runs on our own first-party, cookieless Matomo with IP anonymization and no cross-site tracking. The chat widget uses sessionStorage only to restore your conversation in the current tab. Nothing here requires consent, which is why you see no cookie banner.

6. Retention

Demo chat sessions are automatically deleted after 90 days. Technical logs are retained briefly for security and operations. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability where applicable, and to object (GDPR Art. 21) to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi).

8. The AI demo

AIRUT is an AI concierge, not a human. Its replies are AI-generated and may be inaccurate. Please don't share personal or confidential information in the demo.

Demo terms

1. Scope. These terms apply to the airut.ai website and the AIRUT demo chat, provided by MDIL Labs Oy.

2. As-is. The site and demos are provided as-is, for demonstration purposes, without warranty of any kind.

3. No advice. Demo outputs are AI-generated, may be inaccurate, and are not professional advice. Do not rely on them for decisions.

4. Acceptable use. Do not use the demo for unlawful content, or to disrupt, overload, or attempt to extract the underlying systems. We may suspend demo access in case of misuse.

5. Intellectual property. The AIRUT brand and the MDIL technology belong to MDIL Labs Oy and its licensors.

6. Pilots. Pilot and customer engagements are governed exclusively by separate written agreements.

7. Liability. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law.

8. Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of Finland.
